A friend of mine told me that a new phone app will collect “anonymous” data, through Bluetooth connection, and will notify us (and someone else) if a positive covid-19 person is close to us.
To avoid to be controlled he told me he will not install the app, however it seems Apple and Google will modify their operating system to build this feature in their OS core, so in the near future nobody will be asked to download something.
He is feared about control and to avoid it he thinks is enough to switch-off the BT connection but probably the OS will manage the BT connection bypassing the phone setting. This core feature will probably work also when his smartphone is switched-off as the batteries cannot be extracted from the phones.
Then what he plan to do? Throw away his smarphone to use a vintage one and buy a jammer to disturb the phones transmissions. Anyway none of these actions will really works.
He told also me that next steps will be:
- the insertion of an under skin chip containing personal and health data, which can also open the front door, allow access to digital devices and pay for purchases.
- the implementation of a new type of geo-location, thru 5G networks and bluetooth proximity control, that will make the “old” GPS turn pale.
His storytelling says that in this emerging world we will lose the status of free citizens and we will be forced to defend ourselves against the rising totalitarism.
Is he blathering or just crazy?
